John Forti’s PowerPoint presentation is a richly illustrated adaptation of his
most recent book with period images and contemporary photography. In his talk,
John shares inspiration from our long history with native and heirloom plants, while
exploring the richness that comes from practicing backyard environmentalism,
seasonal living and gardening as a craft.

John is a garden historian, horticulturist and ethnobotanist who has directed gardens
for Plimouth Plantation and Strawberry Bank. Currently he is the CEO of Bedrock
Gardens in Lee, New Hampshire.
