Annual Town Meetings
The Annual Town Meeting shall convene each year on the last Monday in April at 7:30 p.m. Continuation of the meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. on the second Monday in May and if needed the third Monday in May. All Town Meetings are held at the Frederick N Sweetsir School on Church Street.
Special Town Meetings
The fall Special Town meeting will convene on the third Monday in October at 7:30 p.m. These meetings held on certain dates will not require a quorum, those registered voters, whatever the number, present at 7:30 p.m. will constitute the quorum. All Town Meetings are held at the Frederick N Sweetsir School on Church Street.
Annual Town Elections
State Primary, Early Voting, Election Day: Hours and Location:
The Annual Town Election is held on the first Monday in May, the polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The polling location for the town is the Public Library on W Main Street.
Early Voting: Town Hall, Sargent Hall
Saturday, August 22 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Monday-Friday August 24th -August 28th 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Day of Election: Merrimac Public Library
Tuesday, September 1st 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
