SCHEDULED WATER SHUT OFF – PARTS OF CHURCH STREET, RAILROAD, NICHOLS, AND SAWYER WILL BE AFFECTED. THOSE HOUSES HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED IN ADVANCE FOR THURSDAY 10/8/26
On Thursday October 8th, the Merrimac Water Department and Mazzotta Excavating will be replacing the hydrant across from 48 Church Street.
The water will be shut down during this time. Work will start at approximately 8 am and continue until complete.
After replacement, we will turn the water back on and you will experience a flow of water that may create air in your lines and/or discolored water. Wait for the water to settle for about a half hour, then run your COLD water until it runs clear.
